Porn, Sex & Marriage with Craig Gross

Porn is a multi-billion dollar industry that is only growing. In the United States it is literally everywhere with the highest saturation in the bible belt. This suggests that porn is as present in the church as it is out. A silent shame, an embarrassment one doesn’t dare mention they struggle with because everyone believes the same lie. “You are alone in this.”

You aren’t. You aren’t alone and there is help out there. Here are a few ideas (from a non-expert who has talked to experts. . . for whatever that is worth) on how to take the first steps to eradicate porn from your life.

  1. Tell someone. Choose a few people to talk to about it. People you trust and who will have the balls to hold you accountable.

  2. Be proactive. There are so many resources to help. Look into local support groups and counseling, check out what churches have to offer, and online resources such as X3Church have helped many overcome their addiction to pornography.

  3. Be accountable. There are pornography blocking and accountability softwares. Use them. If you slip, tell someone and keep moving forward.

Today we are fortunate enough to have a conversation with the “Porn Guy,” Craig Gross himself (a joke I’m referencing from the recording). His ministry, X3Church has reached and helped many men and women overcome their addiction to pornography and offer a safe community.
