Is BDSM okay for Christian couples?

What's the first thing to pop into your head when you hear the term BDSMDungeons, leather, and whips! Oh my! You aren't alone. If you are like me and the majority of the Christian community, you probably don't fully know or understand what BDSM entails, why people would practice it in the bedroom, and you might have some questions about it. Again, so did I.

What is it?

B (bondage) D (Discipline/Dominance) S (Submission/Sadism) M (Masochism) - In short, tying someone up and having your way with them. Really.

But, is it OK?

I can't give the "go ahead" license here. Only you and your spouse can answer this. I personally believe that parts of it is ok. . . in moderation.  I like to refer to it as BD/s "play" because I think if used with caution, it can add sexy fun in the bedroom! (If you notice I left out the "SM." That was on purpose and we talk about why in this weeks episode!)

Is BDSM redeemable?

Jesus can redeem anything, yo. He makes the blind, see. The lame, walk. The sex, fun and exciting. So, yes, I think it can be used in a way that brings a husband and wife closer together, but it isn't for everybody. This week we talk more about the caution signs to look out for before trying BD/s out and who should probably steer completely clear of it.

We hope you enjoy this weeks episode. It was a tough one to study as it has the potential to get real dark, real fast, but with a hold on to the reigns, it might add a fun spice to your marriage.

Listen in as we discuss more about BDSM in this week's episode!
